FAQ
Most sessions take 30–45 minutes end-to-end. The diagnostic scan itself runs 10–20 minutes depending on the vehicle. If we're also performing a hard reset or code clear, add another 10–15 minutes. We give you a firm ETA before we arrive.
Yes — the vehicle needs to be accessible and you (or someone you authorize) should be on-site to hand over the keys. If you need to leave briefly, just let us know. We can work around a short window as long as the vehicle is unlocked and accessible.
We handle OBD2 resets for most systems on 1996 and newer vehicles: check engine light resets, TPMS relearn procedures, battery registration, throttle body adaptation, and transmission adaptation resets. For brand-specific modules (BMW, Mercedes, VW Group), we use dealer-level tooling. If a system requires a proprietary tool we don't carry, we'll tell you upfront before you pay anything.
We're diagnostics-first — we tell you exactly what's wrong before we charge you to fix it. If a code clears but the light comes back within a drive cycle, we flag that and explain what it likely means (recurring sensor, mechanical fault, etc.). You won't get charged for a "fix" without a clear explanation of the outcome. If we can't resolve it remotely, we point you to the right specialist — no dead ends.
Any 1996 or newer vehicle with an OBD2 port — that's the US federal standard for all passenger vehicles sold since 1996. We cover domestic, European, and Asian brands. Hybrids and EVs are supported for battery management and fault code reading, though some high-voltage resets require dealer-only access.
Just the vehicle, the keys, and the OBD2 port accessible (under the dash, sometimes behind a panel — we can help locate it). We bring all our own tools and diagnostic equipment. If you have a prior repair invoice or dealership printout, it helps give context, but it's not required.
Yes. We operate 7 days a week, including evenings and weekends. Emergency roadside diagnostics (car won't start, severe warning lights) can often be scheduled same-day. Standard appointments book 1–3 days out depending on demand.
